BUSINESS INSIGHTS | Post COVID-19, Why Its Critical To Plan Ahead

Are you worried about your business during these times? I'm sure you are thinking, what the hell! Havn’t these guys been watching the news?


We know what you are going through. We’ve been there. We struggled for months from COVID-19 when it hit our consumer brand in China throughout February & March. THEN during the recovery phase, sales skyrocketed at our physical stores as people were glad to be able to leave their homes, willing to splurge and buy items for themselves.


Irish retailers experienced the same. The Irish Times (read here) stated earlier this year that “Irish retail sales rose 1.3 per cent in August and were 9.1 per cent higher versus August 2019”, before the second wave kicked in.



So what is the key learning we take away from this?

When stores are allowed to reopen after a national lockdown, consumers will more likely spend in physical stores rather than online and they will not be afraid to spend a bit extra on themselves.


And what's that got to do with me you may ask?

Whilst your competitors are acting on current digital trends, it might be a good idea for you to plan ahead for a post COVID-19 re-opening strategy and doing something different from opening an online shop or doing live-virtual appointment sessions.


New times + new ideas = new revenue streams!

So what can you do aside from joining the fierce online competition and compete with big multinationals?

Well, what about the following:


  • Operate without holding ANY stock

  • Pay for single garment orders

  • Serve any client, big or small, tall or short, with perfect fitted garments

  • Launch your very own branded label

  • have ordered garments delivered into your store within 12-14 days.
